PHD is proud to introduce it’s new fall intern, Paul Weidner. Paul is a senior at Bethel University in Arden Hills, MN where he also plays baseball for the Royals. Paul has been a familiar face around PHD as he is entering his third year as coach and second as a head coach.
As a coach Weidner has enjoyed a great amount of success leading his 13U Blue team to the MYAS fall league championship last season, as well as his 14U Blue team to a regional tournament championship this year. Alongside his new role, Paul will continue to coach the 14U Blue team, serve as a weeknight hitting instructor, and be a part of our winter training programs. Paul’s enthusiasm for baseball, children, and developing the entire athlete makes him a perfect fit for this additional role.
“We’re beyond excited to see Paul in this new role. We’re hoping this internship will give him an opportunity to see the logistical and public relations side of our business,” said Owner Brian Bambenek. “Paul is an incredible young man with a bright future and we’re excited to see him working within administration,” said Owner Herb Gibson.
Weidner will work primarily under Brian Bambenek, assisting him in his Director of Baseball Operations duties. Please join me in welcoming Paul Weidner as our new PHD Director of Baseball Operations Intern!
